The FNM 2001-2002 Concert Season

Vexation Hexation

Friday & Saturday, October 26–27, 2001
Eliot Chapel at Reed College
Beginning at 6 pm on Friday

Erik Satie — Vexations (complete performance)

Vexations by Satie is, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest piece of music ever written. It's only two minutes long but, on the composer's instructions, it has to be repeated 840 times!! Bring your pillows and sleeping bags. Stay as a relay of pianists does the whole enchilada. An added bonus: if you stay for the whole performance you get your money back…
