Four Portland Composers Create A New Work Together
Common Threads continues the collaborative spirit behind the original Hexameron composition, which involved six composers writing a set of variations on a common theme. In Common Threads, four Portland composers come together to write a set of variations united by source material from Franz Liszt’s “Bagatelle Sans Tonalité”. This new collaborative composition embodies the spirit of our collective voices coming together in these turbulent times. We’re all in this together, and our voices are unified by music written for and by we, the people.
